Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/July 02 : As per the directions of the Director, Language Department, Punjab, the District Language Office, Hoshiarpur is organizing Punjabi Literature Creation and Poetry Singing Competitions this year as well, continuing the annual tradition.
Students wishing to participate can submit their registration forms, duly attested by their school in-charge, by July 7, 2025, either by visiting the District Language Office in person (Mini Secretariat, Third Floor, Room No. 307-308, Hoshiarpur) or via email.
Providing details about the competitions, District Language Officer Jaspreet Kaur and Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai stated that the aim of these competitions is to promote interest in the Punjabi language, literature, and culture among students.
Students up to matric level and those above 17 years of age are eligible to participate. Each school can send only two students per category (poetry, story, essay, and poetry singing).
Winners in each category will receive cash prizes of ₹1000, ₹750, and ₹500 for first, second, and third places respectively, or a book set from the Language Department along with certificates.
Students securing first place at the district level will get the opportunity to compete in the state-level competitions.
There is no participation fee, and forms received after the deadline will not be accepted. A separate registration form must be submitted for each category.
