Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/July 20 : The ancient Shri Bhameshwari Durga Temple located in Bham village of Hoshiarpur district is set to host its 71st Annual Fair on July 30 and 31, with deep devotion and enthusiasm, as in previous years. The event is being organized under the leadership of Chairperson of Bhameshwari Missionary Trust and chief temple sevadar, Sister Vinod Kumari, with the support of the local devotees and the entire community.
According to sevadar Gurnam Singh Jaswal, the fair will be preceded by Prabhat Pheris (morning devotional processions) which will be taken out daily from July 23 to July 29, between 4:30 AM and 6:00 AM. On July 29, a city parade with religious flags will take place.
Main Events on July 30:, 10:00 AM: Sacred Havan and Purnahuti (final offering), 11:00 AM: Aarti (prayer ritual), 1:00 PM: Kanya Pujan (worship of young girls) and Brahm Bhoj (community feast)
2:00 PM onwards: Flag hoisting ceremony
On the same day, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, a Free Medical Camp will be organized in the temple premises by Bhameshwari Missionary Trust.
The evening of July 30 will witness a grand Mata Ka Jagran (night-long devotional singing), beginning at 8:00 PM, featuring renowned devotional singers such as: Yogi Alabalpur Wale, Puri and Party Shankar Wale, Neelam Jassal, Sunny Sehgal, Jassi Bham, Deepak Durga, Mahant Raj Kumar Saloh Wale, On July 31, at 8:00 PM, Qawwali performances will take place, featuring popular artists like: Sarvjeet Sarv, Ashraf Ali Matoi, Mukesh Anayat
Additionally, on July 31, Dr. Sandeep Dadra will conduct another Free Medical Camp from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the devotees.
