Special Children Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Police Personnel under Khanna Couple’s Leadership at PRTC Jahan Khelan
Hoshiarpur/ August 7/Daljeet Ajnoha : Under the leadership of former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Avinash Rai Khanna and his wife Meenakshi Khanna, women, special children from Atmasukh Atmadev Ashram, and students of Rayat Bahra International School celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with police trainees at PRTC Jahan Khelan.
Speaking on the occasion, Khanna said that Raksha Bandhan reminds us of the sacredness and strength of our relationships. He emphasized that police personnel remain away from their families while dutifully ensuring public safety. Therefore, it is important to share the joy of festivals with them, so they feel the warmth and affection of a family despite being away from home.
Khanna added that just as the police stay alert day and night to protect us, it is our moral duty to include them in our celebrations and express our gratitude by making them feel like part of our extended family. Raksha Bandhan, he said, sends a powerful message about staying loyal and committed to our responsibilities.
During the event, Meenakshi Khanna tied rakhi to the trainees at the center, while Avinash Khanna received rakhis from female trainees. A major highlight of the program was the enthusiastic participation of special children in tying rakhis to the police personnel.
Also present at the occasion were SP Diwan, Dr. Raman Ghai, Ashwani Ohri, other dignitaries, PRTC officials, and male and female trainees.
