Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha August 7 :To promote the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), a special awareness program was organized today by the EPFO Regional Office Jalandhar at Quantum Paper Mills Ltd., Saila Khurd, Garhshankar.
The objective of this scheme is to generate 3.5 crore new formal employment opportunities across the country. For this, the central government has allocated a budget of ₹99,446 crore. Under the scheme, first-time EPFO-registered employees will receive an incentive of up to ₹15,000 in two installments—one after completing six months of service and the second after completing 12 months and a financial literacy program.
Additionally, employers will receive monthly incentives ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹3,000 per new employee for two years. For the construction sector, this benefit will be extended for up to four years.
The event was presided over by Shri Pankaj Kumar, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Grade-I (RPFC-I), and the entire session was efficiently coordinated by Shri Pankaj Sarpal, DPA from EPFO Jalandhar.
On this occasion, Shri Satyawan Singh, Assistant Director of ESIC, shared details about the SPREE 2025 (Scheme for Promotion of Registration of Employers and Employees), which allows voluntary registration with ESIC for employers and employees from the unorganized sector between July 1 and December 31, 2025, without any past dues, inspections, or penalties. This scheme is considered a major step towards expanding social security coverage.
Also present at the event were EPFO Enforcement Officers Shri Deepak Kumar and Shri Begraj, along with Branch Manager Shri Balwant Singh. From Quantum Paper Mills Ltd., senior officials including Shri Ajay Sharma (AVP-HR), Shri M.R. Yadav (GM-Administration), Shri Sudhir Kumar Tiwari (AGM-HR), and Shri Rohit Sharma (Senior Manager-HR) actively participated.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives and HR managers of various industrial units. Attendees gained valuable insights into the schemes and appreciated the government’s initiative, which is steering India towards a more formal, secure, and developed employment system.
