Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.12 : In the Punjab Cricket Association’s Inter-District Under-15 Women’s Cricket Tournament, the Hoshiarpur team secured a place in the quarterfinals after defeating the Fatehgarh Sahib team by 3 wickets. With this win, Hoshiarpur earned 4 points, bringing their total to 12 points and clinching the top spot in Pool-A.HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai informed that in the 35-over-a-side match, Hoshiarpur won the toss and invited Fatehgarh Sahib to bat first. Fatehgarh Sahib posted 126 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted overs, with Bablin Kaur scoring 43 and Dhanvi Sood contributing 33 runs. For Hoshiarpur, Anshika claimed 3 wickets, Ananya Thakur took 2, and Dhruvika Seth picked up 1 wicket.Chasing a target of 127 runs, Hoshiarpur’s team achieved victory in 32.1 overs with six wickets down, led by vice-captain Ananya Thakur’s unbeaten 47 and captain Dhruvika Seth’s 29 runs. Dr. Ghai announced that Hoshiarpur will face Jalandhar in the quarterfinal match on October 15.HDCA President Dr. Daljit Khela congratulated the players on behalf of the association and extended best wishes for the upcoming match.
