Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha /Oct.29 : Under the able guidance of President Dr. Anoop Kumar, Secretary Sh. R.M. Bhalla and Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla, D.A.V. College of Education, Hoshiarpur bagged overall trophy in the Panjab University Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival of Education Colleges held at Malwa Central College of Education for Women, Ludhiana from October 14-17, 2025 under Zone-6 Education-A. On this great occasion, Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla said, in this festival 34 Colleges of Education competed with full zeal & enthusiasm and in this stiff competition, our college won Overall trophy by bagging 45 prizes.
College students won first prize in Debate, Sammi, Sammi (Individual) Bhangra, Knitting, Crochet Work, Embroidery Phulkari, Heritage Quiz, Kavishri, Kavishri (Individual), Ennu Making, Peehri Making, Rassa Vattna, Chhikku Making, Mitti De Khidaune, Pranda Making, Shabad (Individual) Folk Orchestra (Individual).
Students bagged Second Prizes in Group Shabad, Geet, Folk Orchestra, Folk Instrument, Photography, Handwriting Sanskrit, Handwriting Punjabi, Embroidery Bagh, Embroidery Dasuti, Vaar Gayan, Guddian Patole Making, Naala Making, Group Dance General, Group Dance General (Individual).
Moreover, students bagged third prizes in Group Song Indian, Instrumental Music Percussion, Rangoli, Cartooning, Skit, One Act Play, Histronics, Bhand, Ladies Traditional & Ritualistic Song, Creative Writing Essay, Creative Writing Story, Kali Gayan, and Vaar Gayan (Individual).
On this great occasion, President Dr. Anoop Kumar said, Let this victory be a stepping stone that inspires all of us to aim higher, work harder, and continue to push the boundaries of excellence.
President Dr. Anoop Kumar and Secretary Sh. R.M. Bhalla also announced one Lakh cash prize for all participants of the Youth & Heritage Festival.
Vice-President Sh. Y.P. Joshi, Joint Secretary Sh. Sharanjit Saini and Sh. Harish Chander Sharma also congratulated the Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla, Faculty Members and Students for this grand victory.
Principal Dr. Vidhi Bhalla also congratulated the winners and lauded the sincere efforts of the students and the faculty members. She further said, from captivating musical performances and dazzling folk & general dance routines to compelling literary displays and brilliant fine art and heritage creations, our students dominated the festival with grace and excellence. Our college has won this trophy with highest scores and the credit of this victory goes to the D.A.V. College Managing Committee, Hoshiarpur, diligent staff and hardworking students.
