Dr. Ravjot Reviews Nagar Kirtan

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Nov.15 : Local Bodies Minister of Punjab, Dr. Ravjot Singh, chaired an important review meeting at the District Administrative Complex today to assess the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Nagar Kirtan being held to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, Chairman of the Improvement Trust Gurvinder Singh Pabla, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, and representatives of various religious organizations attended the meeting.Dr. Ravjot Singh reviewed in detail the Nagar Kirtan route passing through the Chaurasi constituency, inspecting arrangements for reception points, langar services, medical aid, traffic management, security measures, and facilities for pilgrims. He directed all departments to ensure that every arrangement is completed on time, emphasizing that no shortcomings would be tolerated in this historic and religiously significant event.During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain informed that the Nagar Kirtan, which commenced from Srinagar, will enter Hoshiarpur district on November 21. It will travel from Pathankot through Mukerian and Dasuya to reach Gurdwara Rampur Khera, where an overnight stay is scheduled. On November 22, the procession will continue through Bhunga and Hariana to reach Hoshiarpur city, where it will be accorded a grand guard of honour by the district administration. Thereafter, it will proceed via Chabbewal, Mahilpur, Saila Khurd, and Garhshankar towards Sri Anandpur Sahib.The Deputy Commissioner further apprised the minister that instructions have been issued to concerned departments to ensure cleanliness along the entire route, proper management of langar sites, uninterrupted drinking water supply, medical aid, security, traffic regulation, and floral welcome arrangements. She assured that all measures are being taken to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for devotees.Prominent among those present were SP Manpreet Shimar, SDM Hoshiarpur Gurseemranjit Kaur, and DDPO Sandeep Singh, along with other officers and dignitaries.
