Lt Gen Chandpuria Encourages PAESCO

Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpuria (AVSM, VSM), during his recent visit to Hoshiarpur, met with the employees of the Punjab Ex-Servicemen Corporation (PAESCO) and lauded their dedicated service, motivating them for their continued commitment.During the interaction, Deputy General Manager (PAESCO) Major Ritika Sharma (Retd) briefed Lt Gen Chandpuria about the Punjab government’s dedicated efforts toward the rehabilitation and welfare of ex-servicemen. She informed that PAESCO plays a pivotal role in providing re-employment opportunities to former soldiers, particularly in the Kandi areas, ensuring they can find jobs close to their homes.Major Sharma highlighted that PAESCO’s primary objective is to offer dignified and secure employment to ex-servicemen, allowing them to utilize their skills and contribute actively to the state’s development. She added that the organization consistently ensures a positive working environment and necessary facilities for its deployed personnel.Expressing satisfaction, Lt Gen Chandpuria noted that the Hoshiarpur office also oversees the re-employment of ex-servicemen from Gurdaspur and Pathankot districts. At present, nearly 1,700 employees are serving in various Punjab government projects, performing their duties with discipline, dedication, and sincerity. Commending PAESCO’s initiatives, he described its role as crucial for both societal and state welfare.
