Preparations Underway for Meeri Peeri

Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/Dec.20 : A key meeting of Meeri Peeri Sports Club, Paddi Sura Singh Gram Panchayat, and local football enthusiasts took place under the leadership of Jathedar Iqbal Singh Khera. Prominent attendees included Vijey Kumar Bali, competition chairman and core committee member of the All India Football Federation; Hardeep Singh Saini (PFA member); DSO Jharmal Singh (senior vice president, DFA); and Harnandan Singh Khabra (general secretary, DFA).Addressing the gathering, Vijey Bali stated that just as NRIs have elevated this ground and stadium to national standards, the Punjab Football Federation will definitely organize a national tournament here next year.Jathedar Khera announced that the Meeri Peeri Cup will be held from December 26 to January 3 this year. It will feature 12 club teams, 8 under-17 teams, and 16 village teams.
