No Respect for Martyrdom or

Hoshiyarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.7 : A discussion session was scheduled in the Delhi Assembly on January 6 to mark the 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. However, BJP district president Nipun Sharma has strongly condemned former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and AAP MLAs for allegedly insulting this sacred occasion.Sharma criticized the breach of the assembly’s decorum during the session dedicated to the martyrdom, demanding an apology from Atishi for her remarks. He stated that the purpose of the session was to pay tribute to the sacrifice of Sikhism’s ninth Guru, Sri Teg Bahadur Ji, and that any derogatory, insulting, or controversial language not only tarnishes the dignity of the assembly but also hurts the sentiments of millions of devotees and countrymen.”Gurus and great souls form the foundation of our social-cultural values,” Sharma said. “Public representatives are expected to uphold the dignity of words and the house. The alleged conduct by the AAP leader is condemnable, and she must publicly apologize for it.”The BJP district president further accused AAP of repeatedly making irresponsible statements on sensitive issues to create unnecessary tension in society. He remarked that AAP’s politics lacks both respect for gurus’ dignity and martyrdom, exposing their dual face. The BJP strongly condemns this and demands that such acts are not repeated in the future.
