Guru Ravidas Begumpura Sadan land

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.19 : The long-standing dispute over 36 acres of land at Shri Guru Ravidas Begumpura Sadan, Khuralgarh Sahib, village Mahindpur, tehsil Nangal, district Rupnagar, has reignited. The land was purchased by the Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampradaya Society (Regd.) Punjab, under the leadership of Sant Sarvan Das Ji Bohan (chairman) and with contributions from devotees in India and abroad, for the community’s welfare.To resolve the issue, SC Commission chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi visited Dera Sant Pritam Das Babe Jorre, Raipur Rasoolpur. Representatives from the Guru Ravidas Sadhu Sampradaya Society, All India Adi Dharma Mission (Regd.) India, various committees, and a large gathering of devotees were present.Society saints and leaders asserted that the 36 acres at Khuralgarh Sahib were bought with NRI support for community benefit. Despite repeated demarcations, the full land has not been handed over, with some portions allegedly encroached upon. They demanded that the registered land be cleared and handed to the society.They added that with government support, the society could soon build a school, college, and hospital at the site and dedicate them to the community.President Sant Nirmal Das and Sant Inder Das (general secretary) highlighted false cases filed against society saints and volunteers by a family allegedly occupying Charan Choh Ganga. They recounted an incident during preparations for Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom event at Begumpura Sadan, where cleaners were abused and threatened by Charan Choh Ganga managers. A complaint was filed with SSP Rupnagar, now under DSP Nangal’s investigation.With the society announcing Guru Ravidas Maharaj’s Prakash Purb on February 13 at Begumpura Sadan, they alleged that on December 31 night, waste from a Charan Choh Ganga event was dumped on society land to disrupt proceedings. The site was shown to DSP Nangal.Sant Satvinder Heera, national president of All India Adi Dharma Mission (Regd.) India, stated that Charan Choh Ganga is a major Adi Dharma propagation centre belonging to the entire community, not one family. It once ran transparent operations with managers, accountants, and daily accounts shared with members. However, recent occupants have stopped accountability, assaulted and evicted the committee and volunteers. The mission plans to take over management for transparency.Jasvir Singh Garhi assured swift resolution of the 36-acre demarcation in Village Mahindpur, tehsil Nangal, district Rupnagar. He promised to raise the matter with the Punjab government, involving revenue and panchayat officials to complete demarcation urgently.
