RTO Launches Nighttime Special Inspection

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb.12 : Following directives from Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur, RTO Amandeep Kaur conducted a special nighttime inspection campaign across the district. She stated that the main objective was to check commercial vehicles on the roads, ensure strict compliance with traffic rules, and strengthen road safety. She added that MP Dr. Raj Kumar Chhabewal had also issued related instructions.During the drive, joint teams set up checkpoints at major routes, intersections, and sensitive locations for thorough vehicle checks. Several commercial vehicles were caught violating rules, including overloading, lack of valid documents, pollution norm breaches, missing fitness certificates, and other traffic infractions.Challans were issued to many offending vehicles, while some severely overloaded ones were impounded on the spot.Amandeep Kaur informed that drivers were sensitized about traffic rules and strictly warned to comply in future. She clarified that such special campaigns would continue regularly to curb road accidents and ensure public safety. She appealed to drivers to keep all vehicle documents complete, avoid overloading, and fully adhere to traffic rules for safe and smooth traffic flow.
