Hoshiarpur Police Solves Dr. B

Hoshiarpur/ April 18 /Daljeet Ajnoha : Sandeep Malik, Senior Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur, addressed a press conference and disclosed significant developments in the case of vandalism of the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
He stated that on the night of March 30 and 31, unidentified miscreants damaged the statue of Dr. Ambedkar at Nurpur Jattan village under Police Station Mahilpur. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case and constituted multiple teams to investigate the incident.
The investigation teams were led by Manpreet Kaur and included Daljit Singh Khakh, Parmeet Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Amandeep Kaur, and technical in-charge Surjit.
Based on technical inputs and investigation, the police identified the main conspirator as Gurkirat Singh, along with his associates Pawandeep Singh and Sahilpreet Singh. They had allegedly planned and executed the act of vandalism.
SSP Sandeep Malik further revealed that the main accused, Gurkirat Singh, had been deported from the United States in 2023 and has links with Sikhs for Justice. He reportedly received ₹50,000 for carrying out the act and recorded a video of the incident, which was later uploaded on social media.
Police have taken the accused into custody, and further investigation is ongoing. SSP Malik emphasized that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in such acts, and law and order will be maintained at all costs.
