BJP Delegation Demands Time to

Hoshiarpur/ May 5/Daljeet Ajnoha : A BJP delegation, led by former Cabinet Minister and senior party leader Tikshan Sood, met the ADC (Development) here today and submitted a memorandum demanding five days for the public to verify and raise objections against newly prepared voter lists, as per election rules.
Tikshan Sood alleged large-scale irregularities from ward delimitation to voter list preparation. He questioned whether the lists were redrawn afresh based on the notification dated December 31, 2025, and demanded that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) be held accountable in writing for preparing accurate lists as per the notification.
He further objected to the arbitrary reservation of Ward No. 35 for backward classes, claiming no time was given for objections and that established rotation rules for reservations were violated. The delegation urged a review of the reservation and proper rotation.
Prominent attendees included former Mayor Shiv Sood, councillors Surinder Pal Bhatti, Narinder Kaur, Sunita Devi, BJP district secretary Ashok Kumar, Ashwani Gand, Amrjit Singh Laddi, mandal president Sanju Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Rajiv Mahajan, Vinder Kumar, and PK Rana.
