Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /June 30 : Senior Advocate Dadra Ji, in a conversation with journalist Daljeet Ajnoha, shared details about the ongoing social welfare initiative “Apna Ghar Ashram” at Dadra Forum, Allahabad, Hoshiarpur. The project is dedicated to providing shelter, food, healthcare, and compassionate care to elderly people who are neglected or without family support.
Senior Advocate Dadra Ji informed that the Apna Ghar Ashram project was launched in 2018 with the vision of serving senior citizens with dignity and care. By 2026, nearly half of the construction work has been completed.
The Ashram is being developed as a three-storey building. The ground floor will accommodate around 35 elderly residents, while the first floor will have a capacity of 65 to 70 persons. The second floor will also accommodate 65 to 70 residents, enabling the Ashram to provide safe and comfortable living facilities to a large number of senior citizens after completion.
He said that the Ashram will offer free accommodation, nutritious meals, regular health check-ups, and a caring environment for elderly people in need. The total estimated cost of the project is around ₹4 crore upon completion.
Senior Advocate Dadra Ji further stated that the entire project is being constructed through the generous contributions of philanthropists, well-wishers, and friends who believe in serving humanity. He appealed to members of society to extend their support to this noble cause so that the project can be completed at the earliest and benefit more needy senior citizens.
