Guru Purnima Festival Celebrated with

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/July 29 : The Guru Purnima Festival was celebrated with great devotion, reverence, and spiritual fervor at Virakt Kutir Ashram, Hardokhanpur, Hoshiarpur, on July 28 and 29, 2026.
The celebrations commenced on July 28 with a sacred Vedic Havan-Yajna performed amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras. A large number of devotees participated by offering oblations into the holy fire, praying for world peace and the welfare of humanity.
On July 29, the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima was marked by a memorial tribute ceremony in honor of the Ashram’s founder, Param Pujya Swami Swatantranand Ji Maharaj (Brahma Swami Ji), who has attained Mahasamadhi (Brahmaleen). Devotees from India and abroad gathered to pay their heartfelt respects and remembered his invaluable teachings and spiritual legacy.
The event was also graced by the presence of intellectually disabled students from Atmasukh Ashram, along with their parents and the school staff. They offered their respects at the Guru’s holy feet and pledged to follow his ideals and teachings.
As part of the celebrations, a renowned bhajan mandali (devotional music group) from Jalandhar presented a soulful and devotional musical evening, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere throughout the Ashram. This was followed by an audio broadcast of the inspiring spiritual discourse of Pujya Swami Swatantranand Ji Maharaj. Thereafter, devotees offered devotional bhajan seva, leaving the congregation deeply moved and spiritually uplifted.
The President of the Ashram, Mr. Navdeep Sood, presented a detailed report on the religious, spiritual, and social service activities carried out by Virakt Kutir Ashram. He highlighted the Ashram’s continued dedication to humanitarian service, spiritual awakening, value-based education, and various social welfare initiatives. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all devotees, volunteers, and supporters whose dedicated service contributed to the success of the event.
The celebration concluded with the serving of Brahm Bhoj (community langar/prasad) to all attendees. The entire event stood as a shining example of selfless service, devotion, harmony, and reverence for the Guru. Devotees reaffirmed their commitment to following the spiritual path shown by the revered Brahmaleen Swami Swatantranand Ji Maharaj and to making service to humanity the guiding purpose of their lives.
