Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept.1 : In a bid to promote healthy living, regular exercise and physical activity among students, James Cambridge School here organised a special awareness session on the upcoming ‘Sachdeva Stocks Family Walk’. Paramjeet Singh Sachdeva, president of the Fit Biker Club and driving force behind the walk, interacted with students and motivated them to participate in the event along with their families.
Message on fitness and family bonding
Addressing the gathering, Sachdeva said that in today’s fast-paced life, it is crucial for children and youth to stay connected with physical activities. He highlighted that regular walking not only keeps the body fit but also boosts mental well-being and fosters a positive mindset.
He appealed to students to reduce excessive time spent on mobile phones and other screen-based activities, and instead make time for sports, walks and other creative pursuits. “The ‘Sachdeva Stocks Family Walk’ is not just about walking; it is about bringing families together, spreading awareness about fitness and building a healthier society,” he said, urging students to involve their parents and other family members in the initiative.
School leadership backs initiative
School CEO Raghav Vasal praised the Fit Biker Club’s efforts to connect students with fitness activities, saying such initiatives instil a sense of responsibility towards health among young learners.
The event was also attended by principal Sangeeta, Amarinder Saini, Uttam Singh Sabi, Onkar Singh, Tarlochan Singh and Daulat Singh, among others.
