Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Dec23 : Today, in the last week of third quarter of the Allianistic Year 2024-25 , Ally. Ashok Puri and Ally. Sharanjeet Kaur of Alliance Club International District-119, visited Sant Narayan Das Blind School Bahowal and interacted with the students of the school. This school is being run by the Blind and Handicap Welfare Society. On this occasion, Atar Singh Society President and Chandra Bhan Dubey Braille Script Teacher presented their views. Louis Braille, who was born on January 4, 1809, and passed away on January 6, 1892, at the tender age of just 43, invented the Braille script to get the blind students educated. To mark Louis Braille’s birth anniversary, a cricket match between the teams of blind students from Punjab and Haryana will be organised at the Bahowal stadium on January 4, 2024 and a cultural program will be organised in the premises of 108 Sant Narayan Das Blind School on January 5, 2025.On this occasion, the students sang “Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin” to mark their presence. Ally. Ashok Puri congratulated Society President Atar Singh and Chandra Bhan Dubey for organizing this program and promised that the Alliance Club would provide tracksuits to Punjab’s team.
