Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/March 17 : All ration card holders should get e-KYC done as mandatory said Deputy Speaker Jai Krishab Singh Rouri
MLA and Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Roui has advised all ration card holders to get e-KYC done soon so that they can continue to get ration without any interruption. He informed that the Food and Civil Supplies Department of the Government of India has issued instructions to make 100% e-KYC mandatory for all beneficiaries receiving ration under the National Security Act-2013 by March 31, 2025. Those who do not do so will stop getting ration. Mr. Rouri informed that about twenty-five percent of the people have not implemented this action. He said that therefore it is necessary for all ration card holders to take their Aadhar card to the concerned ration distribution depot and get their fingerprints. It does not cost anything and it is a very simple process.
Mr. Rouri said that since last one year, depot holders across Punjab have started taking fingerprints of beneficiaries on e-POS machines, but despite a long time having passed, many beneficiaries have not implemented it.
