Kapurthala/Daljeet Ajnoha/June 11 : Dr. Amrik Singh is a distinguished personality who has brought pride to Punjab and Punjabis across the globe. A retired professor and a prominent name in the world of sports, Dr. Amrik Singh has coached many great athletes and has also mentored numerous professors, coaches, and educators. Even today, he is frequently invited abroad as Head Judge and Technical Director in international competitions of Kabaddi, Weightlifting, and Powerlifting.
Dr. Amrik Singh shared that for the past two and a half to three years, the “Fit Always Hit Club” has been operating at DC Chowk in Kapurthala under the leadership of the Rice Brothers. The club offers physical and mental development activities for people of all age groups. True to its name, the club is doing commendable work. It is a matter of pride to witness such high-level training being provided in a small city like ours, where children are excelling at both national and international levels, bringing glory to India and Punjab in various fields.
The club offers yoga sessions for adults focused on weight loss and overall wellness. For children, there is training in Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing, Wushu, Vovinam, MMA, and Self-Defense. Additionally, there are classes for dance, aerobics, and weekend sessions for music and arts & crafts.
Dr. Singh mentioned that he had the opportunity to visit the summer camp and was delighted to see very young and innocent children joyfully participating in classes like Karate, music, dance, and painting. Each child displayed great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
When asked how so many activities are managed, Director Mr. Bhuvan Rice explained that he has a dedicated team where each member is an expert in their respective field. Mr. Himanshu Dhiman teaches art and music, Mr. Pandav Rice conducts karate and yoga sessions, and Mr. Bhuvan Rice himself leads dance and fun games. As a result, children are constantly learning new and exciting activities every day.
Dr. Singh noted that all instructors at the club hold Master’s degrees and provide advanced training to children with love and in an easy-to-understand manner.
