15 villages in the vicinity will benefit after bridge construction
Hoshiarpur/ June 15/Daljeet. Ajnoha : Today was a historic day under the developmental vision of the Punjab government, when MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa inaugurated the construction of the 15-year-long awaited Boothgarh bridge. The bridge is going to be built at a cost of Rs 2.35 crore, and is expected to bring relief to thousands of people in the area.
At the inauguration ceremony, MLA Jimpa said that the demand for the construction of this bridge was being made for the last one and a half decade, but the previous governments never paid serious attention to it. He said that this work was limited to promises only, but our government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has made it a reality on the ground.
MLA Jimpa said that the bridge is being constructed over Boothgarh Choa in the memory of 108 Sant Tulsi Nath Maharaj. He said that with the construction of this bridge, not only Boothgarh village, but also 15 villages around it like Chawni Kalan, Dholanwal, Bilaspur, Bohan, Patti, Chaggar, Camp, Kila Barun, Nograma and Chabbewal and other villages will get direct benefit. This will provide ease of transportation to the residents of these villages, and will also accelerate the economic, social and educational progress of the area.
He also said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is working for the rights of the common people and is giving priority to such development works which are really needed. He said that on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, dozens of roads, bridges etc. will be constructed in Hoshiarpur assembly constituency. Apart from this, drinking water schemes, sewerage projects and other development works are going on.
MLA Jimpa said that the connecting roads along the bridge should be repaired soon, so that people do not have to face any kind of inconvenience.
On this occasion, the local people expressed their gratitude to MLA Jimpa and said that a big relief has been given by solving the problem of years. The villagers told that people had to face a lot of problems during the rainy season.
On this occasion, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Sarpanch Boothgarh Satnam Singh, Tajinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Jatinder Singh, Navjot Singh, Simran Singh, Sumitra Devi, Gurdev Chand, Jasvir Kaur, Sodhi Ram, Kuljit Kaur, Bakshish Ram, Kashmira Singh, Sarbjit Kaur, Jagdeep Singh Sarpanch, Mohan Lal, Surjit Pal Singh, Surjit Singh Dhami, Surinder Kumar Mand, Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pritpal, Hardayal Singh, Pragat Singh, Karnail Singh and other dignitaries were also present.
