Instructions given to the officials of the concerned departments to solve the problems of the village immediately

On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba and SDM Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains recently visited villages Bahera, Bari Khad and Kukanet of Hoshiarpur sub-division. This visit was done to take stock of the problems caused in the villages due to heavy rains in the recent days.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rahul Chaba listened to the problems of the villagers seriously and instructed the concerned officials to solve the problems of the villages immediately. He said that due to the recent rains, the villagers have faced a lot of problems due to the breaking of roads and falling of electricity poles. The traffic system of the villages has been affected due to the breaking of roads, while the power supply has come to a standstill due to the falling of electricity poles. Apart from this, extensive damage has been caused due to the presence of drains around the villages.
The ADC directed the Public Works Department to immediately start the work of repairing the roads. The Power Corporation was asked to restore the power supply by re-erecting the fallen electricity poles. The officers of the Land Conservation and Drainage Department have also been advised to take necessary steps for drainage and land conservation. As per the instructions, all the departments have started the work.
It is worth mentioning that recently on the arrival of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in Hoshiarpur, the people of villages Behera, Bari Khad, Kukanet of Hoshiarpur sub-division had presented a memorandum to the Chief Minister, in which they had told about the damage caused in the said villages due to heavy rains.
