Administration gears up for Republic

High-level review meeting held under Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain’s chairmanship
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.12 : Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain chaired a key meeting with officials from various departments at the conference hall in the Police Lines here to review preparations for the district-level Republic Day function. During the meeting, she issued necessary directions to ensure the event is conducted with dignity, order, and success.The Deputy Commissioner stated that Republic Day is a national festival that must be celebrated with complete discipline, patriotic fervour, and high standards. She directed all departments to work in coordination and fulfill their assigned responsibilities within the stipulated time.The meeting extensively discussed security arrangements, parade rehearsals, cultural programmes, stage setup, facilities for invited guests, traffic management, cleanliness, health services, and emergency preparedness. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the police department to maintain foolproof security and the health department to ensure proper deployment of ambulances and medical staff.She also directed the municipal corporation and other concerned departments to maintain cleanliness at the venue, handle decorations, ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, and make adequate seating arrangements. Special emphasis was laid on making the cultural programmes attractive and infused with patriotism.Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain told the officers that the Republic Day function reflects the image of the district administration, and no negligence would be tolerated at any level. She expressed confidence that all departments would work responsibly together to make the district-level event a success.Among those present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, SP Manpreet Sheemar, RTO Amandeep Kaur, and officers from various departments.
