The All India Football Federation (AIFF), in collaboration with the Punjab Football Federation (PFA) and Doaba Sporting Club Kherra, launched the ‘Asmita Under-13 National Football League 2025-26’ at the Kartar Singh Bains Memorial Football Stadium in Kherra. The event was overseen by PFA President Iqbal Singh Kherra and Senior Vice-President Jarnail Singh.
Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna served as the chief guest for the inaugural match, blessing the players and urging them to play with discipline.
The programme was chaired by sports promoter Talwinder Heer, Baldev Singh Banga, PFA Secretary Harjinder Singh, PFA Joint Secretary Vijay Bali, Sanjeev Pachnangal, Principal Sukhinder Singh Minhas, and Sarbjeet Singh Manjh.
In the opening league matches, Gujarat defeated Kerala 1-0, while Punjab’s team thrashed Mizoram 4-0.
