Road to Be Widened and Strengthened at a Cost of ₹5.33 Crore
Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 23 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is committed to providing better basic infrastructure to the people of the state. In line with this vision, large-scale development projects are underway to transform the Sham Chaurasi Assembly constituency.
Cabinet Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh made these remarks during the inauguration ceremony of a road widening and strengthening project from Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar link road to Taragarh, Randhawa Barota, Sandhrah, and Nandachaur.
Speaking at the inauguration in Taragarh, the Cabinet Minister said that the 7.76 km long road from Hoshiarpur-Jalandhar Road to Haryana-Sham Chaurasi Road is being widened to 14 feet. He added that the bridge located in village Sandhrah is also being widened to 8.50 meters as part of this project.
The total cost of the project is ₹5.33 crore. Dr. Singh said the condition of the road was previously very poor, causing inconvenience to commuters. Once completed, the improved road will provide significant relief to local residents.
On this occasion, residents of the area expressed their gratitude to the Punjab government and Cabinet Minister Dr. Rajwajot Singh.
