Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/jan.22 : Punjab Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann has made a major announcement to further strengthen the health security of the people of the state by launching a cashless health scheme of up to10 lakh. Under this historic initiative, citizens from all sections of society in Punjab will be able to avail high-quality medical treatment without any financial burden.
In this regard, the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and stated that this scheme reflects the people-centric and welfare-oriented approach of the Aam Aadmi Party government, which prioritizes the health of the common man. He said that this step in the health sector would prove to be a boon for the poor and middle-class families.
Deputy Speaker Rouri stated that earlier, people often had to sell their property or take loans for the treatment of serious illnesses. However, with the introduction of this cashless scheme, the people of Punjab will no longer have to worry about financial constraints while seeking medical treatment. The scheme will be implemented in both government and selected private hospitals, thereby further expanding access to healthcare services.
He further said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has given top priority to health, education, and public welfare. By providing cashless medical facilities of up to 10 lakh, the government has proved that it not only makes promises but also implements them at the grassroots level.
Deputy Speaker Rouri informed that under this scheme, treatment for serious diseases can be availed without making any cash payments. He added that the scheme will be uniformly implemented in both rural and urban areas of Punjab, ensuring equality in healthcare services.
He emphasized that the objective of the Aam Aadmi Party government is to build a Punjab where no individual is deprived of medical treatment due to lack of funds. This scheme is not merely a policy but a significant step toward safeguarding the lives of the people.
In conclusion, Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri once again thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that the people of Punjab would remain grateful for this historic decision. He expressed confidence that this scheme would bring revolutionary changes in the health sector in the coming years. On this occasion, members of village gram panchayats, youth clubs, block samiti members, and Aam Aadmi Party workers were also present.
