Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /,July 17 : The Dasuya Municipal Council has been granted ₹4.20 crore by the Punjab Government for various development works. This was announced by Municipal Council member Karambir Ghuman, who extended heartfelt thanks on behalf of the residents to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot Singh Bittu.
Ghuman stated that with this grant, major roads in the city including Marasgarh Road, Stadium Road, Kahirwali Road, Nihalpur Road, and Main Bazaar Road will be constructed or renovated. Additionally, modern streetlights will be installed along the GT Road to enhance visibility and safety.
A new office building for the Municipal Council will also be constructed. To improve the city’s sanitation infrastructure, a new jetting machine worth ₹50 lakh will be purchased for efficient sewer cleaning.
Executive Officer Kamaljinder Singh, Vice President Amarpreet Singh Khalsa, and President Sucha Singh are actively involved in overseeing the implementation of these development initiatives.
Ghuman also announced that a new public park will be developed in the Langarpur area, providing a much-needed recreational space for local residents and children.
This grant is expected to significantly accelerate the pace of development in Dasuya and open new avenues for civic progress.
