*Calls for Speedy Compensation to Flood-Affected Families, Ensures Transparent Public Services
Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.17 : Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain held a monthly meeting with revenue officers to review the progress of various departmental works at the district level. The meeting included an in-depth assessment of ongoing revenue cases, schemes, and pending tasks. Officers were instructed to complete all official work in a time-bound and efficient manner.Discussions were held on the progress of e-Registration and the renovation of the Mukerian Tehsil Complex. The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the current status of the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ scheme.DC Jain examined the recovery process related to stamp and registration fees and directed revenue officers to accelerate the collection of pending land revenue dues. The meeting also reviewed the status of ongoing land acquisition cases, khasra-wise mapping, mussavi-cadastral digitization, jamabandi, digital crop surveys, and e-Jamabandi services such as online mutation, reports, fard badar, and bank login IDs.She instructed the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to expedite compensation to flood-affected families and ensure that the payments for crop losses are credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.Deputy Commissioner Jain emphasized that all revenue department services must be made easily accessible, transparent, and citizen-friendly. She stated that ensuring the full reach of online services such as e-Registry and e-Jamabandi to the public is a key priority of the district administration, and directed all officials to perform their duties with accountability.Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjeet Kaur, SDM Dasuya Kanwaljit Singh, SDM Mukerian Ankul Mahendru, SDM Garhshankar Sanjeev Kumar, DRO Amandeep Chawla, and other officials were also present.
