Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain today held a special meeting with the families of freedom fighters at the District Administrative Complex to review the facilities being provided to them and to address any pending issues. The objective of the meeting was to ensure time-bound resolution of grievances and continuous welfare support for the families of those who contributed to India’s independence. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar was also present on the occasion.During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner personally interacted with the families, listened to their concerns and suggestions, and assured them of prompt action. She directed officials to handle all matters related to the families of freedom fighters on a priority basis and to ensure that there were no delays in processing files or benefits.Ashika Jain emphasized that it is the foremost duty of the district administration to honor and support the families of the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. She instructed the concerned officers to address their issues with sensitivity and to ensure regular follow-up.Reassuring the families, the Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration remains committed to their welfare and that such review meetings will continue to be organized in the future to evaluate and improve related welfare schemes.Those present at the meeting included Avtar Singh, Daljit Singh, Hardeep Singh Samra, Onkar Singh, Mandeep Singh, Harleen Singh, Jaswant Singh, Ramesh Chand, Kulwant Singh, Harbhajan Kaur, Kashmir Kaur, Jatinder Jeet Kaur, Parshotam Singh, and Shamsher Singh.
