Deputy Medical Commissioner Reviews Healthcare

Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/Nov 10 :  In accordance with the directions of Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur, Dr. Balbir Kumar, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati Shimar conducted an extensive inspection of the Community Health Centers (CHC) at Haryana and Bhunga. She was accompanied by Assistant Hospital Administrator Dr. Shipra during the visit.Dr. Shimar, assisted by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Sudesh Rajan, carried out a comprehensive review of the medical services being provided to patients at both facilities. The inspection covered various departments, including the outpatient department (OPD), emergency services, laboratory, radiology unit, operation theatre, pharmacy, dispensary, and immunization wing.She also examined the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat – Health Insurance Scheme and assessed the medical infrastructure, availability of essential medicines, patient care facilities, and hygiene standards.During her interaction with patients, Dr. Shimar gathered their feedback regarding the quality and accessibility of services. She urged the medical staff to maintain a patient-centric approach and continue striving for excellence in healthcare delivery.Concluding the visit, Dr. Swati Shimar reiterated that the core mission of the Health Department is to ensure equitable access to high-quality healthcare for every citizen. She emphasized that periodic monitoring, evaluation, and systemic improvements will remain an ongoing process across all health centers.
