Dera Baba Nanak/ Daljeet Ajnoha /August 12I : n an exclusive conversation with senior journalist Sanjiv Kumar, Dr. Aditya Sharma shared his vision and priorities after formally taking charge as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dera Baba Nanak. He stated that he is deeply committed to working in the fields of self-employment generation, educational advancement, and public health, alongside actively participating in the collective fight against the drug menace in the region.
A qualified doctor by profession, Dr. Sharma explained that his medical background has given him a first-hand understanding of the dangers posed by drugs, lack of healthcare access, and lifestyle-related health challenges. He emphasized that his goal will be to ensure better healthcare facilities for all, with special attention to preventive care, timely treatment, and accessibility for rural areas.
Expressing heartfelt pride over his posting, Dr. Sharma said that serving at Dera Baba Nanak — a place known for its deep spiritual heritage and cultural significance — is not only an administrative responsibility but also a personal mission to contribute to the upliftment of society.
He further stressed that the fight against drugs can only be won through active public participation and strong community cooperation with the administration. He urged residents to unite in safeguarding the future of the youth and fostering a healthy, productive way of life.
