A Profound Conversation on Religion, Faith, and Spirituality through the Lens of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha
Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha/April 24 : In an enlightening and deeply spiritual conversation, renowned saint and Katha Vyas Swami Bhakti Parshad Giri Maharaj of Vrindavan shared his thoughts on religion, faith, and the essence of spirituality. The dialogue, conducted by Daljeet Ajnoha, aimed at bringing the principles of Sanatan Dharma closer to the common man and addressing contemporary questions surrounding spiritual practice.

Speaking in the light of Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, Swami Ji emphasized that spirituality is not confined to rituals or formal worship but is, in fact, a holistic approach to life that shapes one’s inner self and worldview.

He stated, “Every individual should have faith in their chosen deity. According to the principles of Sanatan Dharma, if your Ishta Devta (personal deity) is showering divine grace upon you, then the blessings of all other deities naturally follow.”

Swami Ji further explained, “No matter what religion a person belongs to, they should remain devoted and sincere within their own faith. True devotion, prayer, and worship within one’s own tradition invite the boundless grace of the Divine. Religion is not a compulsion; it is a personal and soul-driven journey.”

The conversation also touched upon pressing issues such as the declining sense of faith in today’s fast-paced society, the spiritual disconnect among youth, and the need to revive cultural roots. In response, Swami Ji said, “Young people must not see religion as a burden, but as a guiding light in their lives. Through the teachings of scriptures, spiritual discourse, and cultural awareness, we can inspire them to discover their spiritual identity.”

He strongly advocated that religion should not be limited to external customs but should become a way of living—centered around love, compassion, service, and righteousness.

In closing, Swami Bhakti Parshad Giri Maharaj delivered a powerful message:
“Let religion not be merely ritualistic. Embrace it in your actions, thoughts, and intentions. When one’s heart is pure and actions are righteous, the Divine naturally reveals Himself.”
