This view was expressed by Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Mrs. Ashika Jain during a conversation with Eye Donation Incharge Tanda Bhai Barinder Singh Maseeti. Giving information in this regard, Bhai Barinder Singh Maseeti said that a person should donate blood while alive and donate eyes and body after death. So that a needy person can get benefit. Bhai Maseeti told that Mrs. Ashika Jain said that it is very difficult for a blind person to walk in this world, for which she appreciated the many works being done for the welfare of humanity by the Eye Donation Association Hoshiarpur and Bhai Barinder Singh Maseeti. The Deputy Commissioner said that the eyes donated by a dead person are no less than a boon for a blind person. And even after death, a dead person can enter this world through the body of another person. And the eyes of a dead person can be donated within four to six hours of death. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that any blind person can contact Rotary Club Hoshiarpur Mid Town, Netra Daan Sangathan Hoshiarpur, former Deputy Director Punjab Dr. Kewal Singh Tanda, Bhai Varinder Singh Masiti Eye Donor Incharge Tanda and SMOs of all civil hospitals for free iris surgery. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur said that free eye operation is a commendable initiative started by Netra Daan Association Hoshiarpur and other associated organizations for the welfare of humanity, which should be availed by the needy people.
