Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Dev.7 : The grand Football Tournament Cup-2024 commenced at Rayat Bahra Education City, featuring the participation of 32 teams from various regions. The tournament was inaugurated by Campus Director Dr. Chandra Mohan, who inspired the players with his motivational words.
“Sports not only enhance physical fitness but also instill vital qualities like discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence. This tournament aims to raise awareness about sports among the youth and provide a platform to showcase their hidden talent,” said Dr. Mohan during the inaugural ceremony.
The opening match witnessed an impressive performance by the team from Gujarpur, who secured a 1-0 victory against Chabbewal, gaining an early lead in the tournament.
Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh shared details about the prizes, announcing that the winning team will receive a trophy along with ₹21,000 in cash, the runners-up will be awarded ₹11,000, and the third-place team will receive ₹5,000.
