Brings Pride to Her Village and Region; Honored by Villagers Upon Return
Special Felicitation by Local MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal
Hoshiarpur / Daljeet Ajnoha/June 2 : Sweety Bagla, daughter of Kuldeep Bagla from village Makhasuspur in Hoshiarpur district, has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming a Lieutenant in the Canadian Navy.
Sweety completed her primary and senior secondary education from government schools in her village. She went on to pursue a B.Tech degree and later moved to Canada for higher studies. Through her hard work and dedication, she earned the rank of Lieutenant in the Canadian Navy.
Upon returning to her native village of Makhsuspur, Sweety Bagla was warmly honored by the village community. A special event was organized by the village panchayat to recognize her achievement. The program was graced by the presence of local MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar and special guest Dr. Parminder Sood from SGR Hospital, Kot Fatuhi, who attended as the chief guest.
In his address, Dr. Ishank Kumar congratulated Sweety and praised her for being an inspiration to other children. He encouraged students to pursue excellence and assured continued support for education in the region.
Village Sarpanch Neelam Sharma and Panch Bablu expressed their gratitude to the guests and announced that any village child securing first, second, or third position in any class would be specially honored by the panchayat. They also emphasized that no child in the village would be deprived of education.
Present on the occasion were Sarpanch Neelam Sharma, Panch Kushal Kumar Bablu, Panch Jyoti, Panch Kamaljeet, Panch Mohinder Singh, Nambardar Jatinder Kumar, Sohan Lal, Ajaib Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Dalbir Singh, Parmjeet Singh, Baldev Singh, Krishna Devi, Jaswinder Bagla (Retired Manager), and several other residents of the village.
