Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Jan.15 : HLMIA (Hoshiarpur Large and Medium Industry Association) from time to time takes up issues, that are of common interests to the membership. In the recent past, workshops on “Team working”, “solar energy management” and “Gen. AI, Opportunities and Challenges for the Industry and moving on to Industry 4.0/5.0” were organized for the benefit of member organizations.
Today on 15th January 2025, HLMIA organized the Knowledge Sharing Session on very critical and important subject of Sustainability-Importance of Sustainability, Pathways to Decarbonisation and Regulatory Compliances for HLMIA Members at Sonalika- International Tractors Ltd, Hoshiarpur. The session was inaugurated by Hon’ble Dr. A S Mittal, Vice Chairman, International Tractors Ltd, Hoshiarpur and Vice Chairman, Punjab State Economic Policy & Planning Board. Sh. IMJS Sidhu, President HLMIA, while initiating the session informed that Sustainability is gaining importance in business, with a focus on carbon footprint reduction, collaboration, and transparency. Challenges to business sustainability include strategy integration and resource limitations. Opportunities include cost savings, innovation, and improved reputation. Tarun Chawla, General Secretary HLMIA, welcomed the participants and press.
The Session was conducted by Mr Kapil Bansal, Partner, Ernst & Young (E&Y) Energy Transition & Decarbonisation, a B Tech (Chemical Engg) from IIT Roorkee and Management graduate from Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad, having enriching experience of more than 22 years in the energy & new energies across technology, Due diligence/Assessment, low carbon growth strategies/technologies, decarbonisation & climate change, policy/regulatory issues. He is member of CII and part of Indo-Australia, Indo German, Indo-France taskforce as per MNRE. He has to his credit lot of research papers and publications and by Ms Reshma Narayanan Kutty, Senior Manager, EY Energy Transition & Decarbonisation, having more than 10 years of experience of Business strategy and consulting across energy value chain and leading Net Sero Strategy. She is also Future leader if the World Energy Council (FEL 100) representing India with its energy transition agenda. EY Team explained how
