*Dr. Raman Ghai Congratulates Team on 35-Run Victory Over Jalandhar
**Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct.15 :  The Hoshiarpur Under-15 women’s cricket team stormed into the semi-finals of the Punjab Cricket Association’s (PCA) Inter-District Cricket Tournament after defeating Jalandhar by 35 runs.Providing details, HDCA Secretary Dr. Raman Ghai said that the 35-over encounter began with Jalandhar winning the toss and opting to field first. Batting for Hoshiarpur, the team posted a total of 122 runs in 34.4 overs before being bowled out. Bhumika Sharma top-scored with 29 runs, followed by Kashvi Rana with 25 and vice-captain Ananya Thakur with 11. In reply, Jalandhar’s Rezall Kaur Sandhu claimed six wickets, while Ritika took one.Chasing 123 for victory, Jalandhar’s lineup crumbled against Hoshiarpur’s disciplined bowling attack, getting all out for just 87 runs. Ritika remained unbeaten on 37, while Gursimran contributed 12. Vice-captain Ananya Thakur led the bowling charge for Hoshiarpur with four wickets, supported by Anshika with three, captain Dhruvika Seth with two, and Kashvi Rana with one.With this 35-run triumph, Hoshiarpur secured their spot in the tournament’s semi-finals. HDCA President Dr. Daljit Singh Khela congratulated the team on behalf of the entire association, extending best wishes for their upcoming match.On the occasion, team coach Davinder Kaur Kalyan, assistant coach Nikita Kumari, district head coach Daljit Singh, junior coach Daljit Dhiman, Pankaj Pinka, and Dinesh Sharma also congratulated the players. PCA selector Gurdeep Minhas graced the event as chief guest, while HDCA trainer and former national player Kuldeep Dhami, along with former players Naresh Kalu, Pooja, Anjali, Vanshika, and Suhana, extended their best wishes to the victorious team.Dr. Ghai announced that Hoshiarpur will face the winner of the Patiala–Muktsar match in the semi-final on October 16.
