Hoshiarpur : Daljeet Ajnoha, Jan.27 : The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur at Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab, marking the occasion a significant and memorable event for the university community.
The celebrations began with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, accompanied by the university’s security team, who paid their respects with a formal salute. The gathering of students, staff, and dignitaries sang the national anthem in unison, evoking a strong sense of unity and patriotism.
In his address, Chancellor Dr. Kaura extended heartfelt congratulations to everyone present. He urged the university community to honour the national flag and cherish the country’s rich heritage. Reflecting on the sacrifices of martyrs and the pivotal role of leaders in shaping the republic, he emphasized that Republic Day is not merely a celebration but a national festival that embodies the spirit of patriotism and collective pride.
The event was also marked by the unveiling of the university’s Anthem,” Lamrin Rising: A Class for Masses, A Vision for All” and the release of the 3rd edition of LTSU Pulse, the university newsletter along with the university’s annual calendar. These milestones highlighted the university’s achievements and reinforced its commitment to excellence and growth.
The event was graced by Dr. Kawaljit Singh, Head, Department of Urology, AIIMS Bathinda, who attended as the Guest of Honour. Other notable attendees included Pro Chancellor Dr. Parvinder Kaur, Registrar Dr. Rajiv Mahajan, Joint Registrar S. Satbir Singh Bajwa, senior functionaries, faculty, staff, and students, all contributing to the vibrant and patriotic atmosphere at LTSU.
Students added vibrancy to the celebrations through a series of cultural performances, including patriotic songs, poetry recitations, inspiring speeches, and a spirited Bhangra performance. Sweets were distributed to all attendees, fostering a sense of joy and camaraderie.
LTSU’s Republic Day celebration once again highlighted its commitment to nurturing patriotism and fostering holistic development among its community members.
