HOSHIARPUR/DALJEET AJNOHA/MAR.24 : The University School of Engineering and Technology (USET), Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, solemnly commemorated Shaheedi Diwas 2026 on the theme “Mashaal – A- Hind” with a series of meaningful and patriotic activities across the university campus. The occasion paid heartfelt tribute to the legendary revolutionaries Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev whose sacrifices continue to inspire generations. The campus resonated with patriotism, unity, and a deep sense of national pride throughout the event.
Department Head Prof. Meenakshi Sharma said commemoration began with a patriotic rally, marking the opening of the event. Students and faculty members actively participated, carrying placards and raising slogans that echoed the spirit of patriotism and remembrance.
Patriotic performances, including dance, singing, and theatrical acts, reflected the spirit of sacrifice and devotion to the nation. A special highlight was the staging of two impactful skits titled “Amar Gunj” and “Pride of Freedom,” which vividly portrayed the life, struggles, and martyrdom of Bhagat Singh, including the emotional journey of his family during the time of his execution.
The event ” Mashaal -A – Hind ” also added intellectual depth, a exhibition of letters of Bhagat Singh by University School Legal Studies and books exhibitions by Language Department Punjab showcased inspiring revolutionary literature, enabling students to connect more closely with the history and ideals of India’s freedom movement. Open mic sessions featuring poetry, speeches, and patriotic songs further enriched the atmosphere, portraying Bhagat Singh not only as a fearless freedom fighter but also as a visionary thinker.
The occasion was honoured by the esteemed presence of Dr A S Chawla Vice Chancellor who congratulated the event organisers and motivated the audience to learn from the thoughts of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.The event saw distinguished dignitaries including Registrar Dr. B. S. Satyal, CEO Vimal Manhotra, Executive Dean Dr. H. P. S. Dhami, Executive Dean Dr. Ashutosh Sharma, Dr Rajinder Kaur , Dr Mohinder Singh, Mr P K Verma , Dr Amit Sharma Dr. V. K. Saini, Er Mandeep Singh, Prof. Narinder Bhumbla PRO along with respected faculty members. The event was organised and coordinated by Prof Sukhwinder kaur coordinator Kaleediscope Club.
Dastaar Bandi, Poster Making Competition witnessed high enthusiasm among the students. The winner students were awarded cah prizes and certificates.
Shaheedi Diwas 2026 concluded as a deeply stirring and transformative experience, leaving an indelible mark on every participant and attendee.All university staff and students were present on the occasion.
