Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha : To assess the situation in rain-affected areas, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today visited several locations. During the visit, he inspected a damaged house near Shimla Pahari and two houses in village Bajwara that were affected. He met with the families whose houses were damaged due to heavy rainfall and waterlogging and also inquired about those who were injured. He assured them that in this hour of crisis, the government and district administration stand firmly with the victims and will provide all possible assistance.
The MLA, along with administrative officers present on the spot, reviewed the situation and issued clear instructions to ensure immediate relief to the affected families. He directed officials to conduct damage assessments without delay and expedite the process of compensating eligible victims.
Jimpa said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is always with the people and no one will be left alone in difficult times. While appreciating the prompt action of the district administration, he stressed the need to accelerate relief and rehabilitation works so that the affected families can return to normal life as soon as possible.
The MLA further informed that the Red Cross Society is distributing relief material to the affected families, including essential items such as ration, clothes, and other necessary supplies. He expressed gratitude to the Red Cross and other social organizations, urging every section of society to come forward and help those in need.
Appealing to the victims to remain patient and cooperate with the administration, Jimpa assured that the government and administration will take full responsibility to deliver relief to every affected family.
On this occasion, Naib Tehsildar Hridayvir Singh, Councilor Rajeshwar Dayal Babbi, Bindu Sharma, and Vikas Saini were also present.
