Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/August 21 : A high-level meeting was convened today under the leadership of Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar at the Ashoka Chakra Hall of the Mini Secretariat to review the progress of ongoing development projects and deliberate on upcoming initiatives in the constituency.
The meeting witnessed the presence of Deputy Commissioner Ms. Ashika Jain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Nikas Kumar, along with senior officials including Dr. Pankaj Shiv, Dr. Krishan Gopal, Anil Kumar, Rinki, BDPO Avtar Singh, Sunita Pal, Superintendent Sukhwinder Singh, and officers from various government departments.
During the session, detailed reviews were conducted on key development areas such as road construction, education, healthcare services, sewerage, sanitation, potable water supply, and rural development. Upcoming projects and schemes were also discussed at length.
MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar emphasized the importance of timely execution of development works, particularly those directly impacting public welfare. He directed officials to prioritize people-centric services and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach citizens promptly.
“Development should not be confined to paperwork or statistics. Its impact must be visible at the grassroots level,” Dr. Ishank stated. He strictly warned against delays and lapses in quality, asserting that accountability and transparency must be maintained across all projects.
He also urged officials to actively engage with the public to understand their real needs and incorporate those insights into policy and planning. Officials from various departments shared updates on their respective projects and highlighted current challenges. Dr. Ishank reassured them of his full support in resolving issues and reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the expectations of the people of Chabbewal.
