Nature Fest-2026 to be Held

Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Feb.9 : Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain informed that “Nature Fest-2026” will be grandly organised at Lajwanti Stadium, Hoshiarpur, from February 13 to 17. Presiding over a review meeting held today at the district administrative complex, she issued necessary directives to officials from relevant departments.The Deputy Commissioner stated that Nature Fest is a significant event for the district, which will see participation from a large number of people, tourists, students and various organisations. She emphasised giving top priority to security arrangements, traffic management, cleanliness and basic facilities. She directed that robust security measures, adequate CCTV cameras, uninterrupted power supply, amusement rides, safe drinking water, temporary toilets, fire safety arrangements and availability of emergency services be ensured throughout the venue.During the meeting, detailed reviews were conducted on stage construction, stall allotment, food stall arrangements, cultural programmes, parking, lighting, sanitation, waste management, drinking water, temporary toilets, medical aid and other facilities. The Deputy Commissioner instructed all departments to work in coordination and complete preparations in a time-bound manner to make Nature Fest-2026 successful, safe and memorable.She added that the objective of Nature Fest is to raise awareness about environmental conservation, promote local culture and strengthen the district’s positive image. The event will be organised in an orderly, disciplined and public-friendly manner.Among those present on the occasion were Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Municipal Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu, SDM Mukerian Oaishee Mandal, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, SP Navneet Kaur, RTO Amandeep Kaur and Assistant Commissioner Parmprit Singh, along with officers from other relevant departments.
