Khanna Visits Flood-Affected Areas of Tanda
Thanks Organizations and Individuals Helping Flood Victims
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Sept. 6 : Former Member of Parliament Avinash Rai Khanna visited the flood-affected areas of Tanda constituency. After witnessing the plight of the victims, Khanna said, “Only the one who suffers truly knows the pain.” He added that the real condition and suffering of the flood-affected people can only be understood by those who are directly impacted.
Khanna said that many people’s homes have been destroyed in the floods, families have been forced to send their children to safer places or to distant relatives, properties have collapsed, and there has been significant loss of livestock.
He remarked that in such heart-wrenching circumstances, the way social service organizations and individuals have come forward to serve the victims is truly commendable. He emphasized that during disasters, the spirit of humanity and mutual support is something uniquely seen in India.
Khanna expressed his gratitude to all the social service organizations and volunteers engaged in helping the flood victims. On this occasion, BJP leader Jawahar Khurana was also present with him.
