Hoshiarpur /Daljeet Ajnoha/Nov.18 : Under the able guidance of Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati Shimar, a pledge to contribute towards a drug-free India was administered at the DMC office and the De-Addiction Centre, Civil Hospital, Hoshiarpur.Addressing the gathering, Dr. Shimar emphasized that determination and collective effort are essential to free Punjab from the darkness of drug abuse. She noted that the government-run rehabilitation centers are a major support system for individuals trapped in addiction, offering both medical treatment and counselling.She appealed to everyone to stand together, show compassion and respect towards those battling addiction, and help them lead a new, healthy life so that Punjab can once again thrive in happiness and prosperity.Among others present on the occasion were Dr. Raj Kumar (Psychiatrist), Dr. Navdeep Kaur (Dental Surgeon), Dr. Baljeet Kaur (Dental Surgeon), Counsellor Prashant Adia, Psychiatric Social Worker Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur, Clinical Psychologist Chitra Chaudhary, Staff Nurses Chamkaur Singh and Kiran Bala, Accountant Munish Jain, and all patients undergoing treatment, who together took the pledge for a drug-free life
