Punjab to Host Spectacular Light

Hoshiarpur/Nov. 6/Daljeet Ajnoha– The Punjab Government will commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with a grand light and sound show at the Lajwanti Multipurpose Stadium in Hoshiarpur. The event aims to depict the life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice of the revered ninth Sikh Guru through an immersive digital narrative designed to inspire reflection and reverence.Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain, who chaired a preparatory meeting at the venue, said the 45-minute presentation will convey Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s timeless message of peace, tolerance, and universal brotherhood. She remarked that the initiative stands as a profound tribute to the Guru’s unparalleled courage and compassion for humanity.Public entry to the event will begin at 5 p.m., with free admission for all attendees. Jain encouraged citizens across Hoshiarpur district to attend with their families and participate in the momentous celebration of Sikh heritage.The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed final arrangements concerning security, traffic regulation, sanitation, parking, barricading, uninterrupted power supply, medical and fire safety provisions, promotional outreach, and control room coordination. She instructed officials to ensure seamless execution so that devotees and visitors experience the event in comfort and safety.The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Government of Punjab, is presenting the show. Senior officers including Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar, SDM Gursimranjit Kaur, RTO Amandeep Kaur Ghumman, SP Major Singh, Civil Surgeon Dr. Balvir Kumar, District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh, Executive Engineer Gurmeet Singh, Naib Tehsildar Hridayveer Singh, and Deputy District Education Officer Amandeep Sharma were also present during the review.
