Hoshiarpur/ Daljeet Ajnoha /May 22 :A special meeting of the Youth Sports Welfare Board was held under the leadership of Secretary Paramjit Singh and General Secretary Gurcharan Singh at the Fighter Sports Zone on Kartarpur Road, Kapurthala. During the meeting, Gurcharan Singh informed all members that the 27th State-Level Wushu Championship will be held at Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha, Kapurthala on May 30, 31 and June 1, 2025.
He shared that Wushu players from 22 districts of Punjab will participate in the championship. Arrangements will be made to provide the best possible facilities to the players so that they face no inconvenience.
President of the Youth Sports Welfare Board and the Kapurthala District Wushu Association, Rajeev Walia, stated that preparations for this championship in Kapurthala are in full swing, with all board members actively contributing their support. He further mentioned that prominent personalities from Punjab will attend the event to bless and encourage the players.
On this occasion, Prof. Amrik Singh, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that Wushu is a recognized sport and encouraged youth to stay away from drugs and actively participate in sports. He assured that the entire organizing committee is dedicating their full time and effort to ensure the success of the upcoming championship.
Prominent attendees at the meeting included Jaspal Singh Panesar, Anuj Anand, Sukhwinder Singh, Rajdeep Singh, Sanjeev, Paramjit Singh, Sanjeev Kundra, Somnath Soma, Darshan Singh Bajwa, Sanjay Malhotra, Hardeep Singh Kang, Santokh Singh Basra, Parminder Singh, Satnam Singh, Prathampreet Singh, Awadhesh Kumar, and Barinder Barid.
