In a significant community initiative, Rayat Bahra Group, under the leadership of Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra and Campus Director Dr. Chander Mohan, organized a dental care camp at Government Senior Secondary School, Bohan. The camp, part of the group’s ongoing community outreach efforts, aimed to raise awareness about dental health and hygiene among schoolchildren. The event was led by Rayat Bahra Group’s Medical Officer, Dr. Sukhmeet Bedi, who provided students with vital tips on dental care and conducted dental checkups.
Dr. Sukhmeet gave detailed demonstrations on how to properly clean teeth and maintain oral hygiene. He also educated the students about the symptoms and prevention of common dental issues like cavities, gum disease, and tooth decay. Emphasizing the importance of regular cleaning and a balanced diet in maintaining oral health, Dr. Sukhmeet encouraged the students to adopt healthier dental practices. The session included an interactive Q&A, where students asked questions about dental problems and received expert advice.
School Principal Malkit Kaur expressed her gratitude to Rayat Bahra Group, especially to Dr. Sukhmeet and his medical team, for this valuable initiative. She remarked, “This camp is a significant step towards enhancing awareness of health among students and the community. Such programs are essential for fostering a healthy lifestyle in children and preventing future dental problems.” She further noted that creating awareness at an early age would have lasting benefits for the students’ overall well-being.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged with the dental experts and pledged to incorporate the dental care tips into their daily routines. In her closing remarks, the principal commended the social responsibility demonstrated by Rayat Bahra Group and urged them to continue organizing similar health initiatives. Also present on the occasion were Prof. Pooja, Lecturer Munish Modgil, Prabhjot Singh, Gurpreet Kaur, Amarjit Rai, Balbir Singh, Rajni, Arvinder Kaur, Harkamal Kaur, and Gurmel Singh, along with the entire school staff.
