Focus on quality and safety in drug manufacturing
Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha/Oct13 : Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur, organized an awareness lecture on the occasion of the 3rd National Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) Day at its University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The event was conducted under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. Chander Mohan and Director Principal Dr. Maninder Singh Grover.
Dr. Maninder Singh stated that the program was organized according to the guidelines of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
The chief speaker, Dr. Suresh Kumar, Associate Professor at Punjabi University Patiala, informed students in detail about the importance of drug quality, safety, and proper manufacturing processes.
Dr. Kumar emphasized that maintaining cleanliness, quality control, and compliance with regulatory standards during drug manufacturing is crucial, as it directly impacts public health and trust. Students and faculty members of the department gained valuable insights into the correct practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
