Hoshiarpur/Daljeet Ajnoha /jan.22 : On the occasion of National Youth Day, a special seminar was organized by the University School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Rayat Bahra Professional University, Hoshiarpur. The seminar was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan. Sharing details about the event, Director–Principal Dr. Maninder Singh Grover stated that the seminar was dedicated to the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and was organized on the theme “Screen Time to Green Time: Youth for the Environment.” Students, faculty members, and academicians participated enthusiastically in the seminar. The main objective of the program was to motivate youth to reduce excessive screen time and actively engage in activities related to environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The chief guest of the program, Avinash Rai Khanna, former Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha), while addressing the youth, emphasized that young people play a crucial role in nation-building and environmental protection. He stated that youth power has the potential to lay a strong foundation for a green and sustainable future.
On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Chander Mohan, in his inspiring address, highlighted the importance of value-based education, youth empowerment, and collective responsibility towards environmental sustainability. He encouraged students to reflect on their daily habits and adopt eco-friendly practices in both their personal and professional lives.
All faculty members and students of the Pharmacy Department were present during the seminar.
