Camp coordinator Dr. Loveleen Chauhan informed that The NSS Special Camp 2025 was commenced with a formal inaugural function with lamp-lighting ceremony by Sh. Nirmal Singh Rayat, President Rayat Educational and Research Trust. which symbolizes enlightenment and knowledge. This was followed by a soulful prayer and the pledge ceremony in observance of National Voter’s Day, where students took an oath to uphold democratic values and encourage voter awareness. the college celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The day started with a morning assembly, where students delivered speeches and sang patriotic songs, a pot painting activity was organized, where students creatively decorated pots. This activity aimed to combine creativity with environmental awareness,
A free medical check-up camp was organized in collaboration with Dr. Shashi Saurabh from Manav Hospital, Nalagarh. Students and faculty members availed free health check-ups, in consultations. maintaining cleanliness, eating a balanced diet, and following healthy lifestyle practices. The students actively participated in the question answer session, volunteers engaged in basic stretching, yoga, and breathing exercises to promote physical well-being. a slogan writing and poster-making competition was organized on the theme, “Empowering Communities through Digital Literacy.” to raise awareness about the importance of digital education and technological accessibility. and In the afternoon, volunteers visited Tibbi Sahib Gurdwara, during the camp a rally aimed to educate local residents about digital literacy, encouraging them to adopt digital platforms for financial transactions and also made them aware about the fraudulent activities prevalent in present time. Volunteers planted saplings in pots. This initiative reinforced the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.
For experiential learning through an educational trip to Pushpa Gujral Science City, Jalandhar. The visit provided students with an opportunity to explore interactive exhibits on space, robotics, energy conservation, and environmental science. Volunteers actively engaged in science demonstrations, gaining hands-on knowledge of various scientific concepts. The visit also included a 3D Laser show, Earthquake simulator, Eco Echoes, Flight simulator, Robotic Dinosaurs and Climate change theatre sparking curiosity and innovation among the students
The final day of the NSS camp was marked by a Sukhmani Sahib Path, invoking a sense of peace and gratitude among participants. acknowledging the efforts of volunteers and emphasizing the importance of social service and youth participation in nation-building. A cultural performance by NSS volunteers added a vibrant touch to the closing ceremony, featuring folk dances, songs, and skits reflecting themes of patriotism and social awareness. prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions held during the camp. Ms. Prabhjit kaur and Gurjant Singh were declared as best volunteers. All the students got appreciation certificates . Pro Chancellor LTSU Punjab Dr Parvinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of faculty and students to organise such a wonderful camp and congratulated for the successful completion of camp.Dr Jagdeep Kaur Principal, Dr Rajinder Kaur, vice Principal, Prof Madhusudan, Prof Sushil Kumar, Prof. Shweta Passi, Mam Sushma Kumari, Prof Aprinder Singh, Rajpal Singh, Shri Bal Krishan and other staff members were present on the ocassion.
